Report on Cyber Crime Portal (Within 24 Hours)

File a detailed complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

  1. Visit cybercrime.gov.in
  2. Click on "File a Complaint"
  3. Select "Financial Fraud" category
  4. Fill in all details with transaction proof
  5. Upload screenshots and bank statements
  6. Save the complaint acknowledgment number

Inform Your Bank (Within 3 Days)

Contact your bank's fraud department immediately.

  • Call the number on the back of your card
  • Request to block your card/account if compromised
  • File a written complaint at your branch
  • Get acknowledgment with complaint reference number
  • Reporting within 3 days ensures zero/limited liability under RBI rules

File FIR at Police Station

Visit your nearest police station and file an FIR.

  • Carry all evidence: screenshots, bank statements, call records
  • Insist on filing FIR under IT Act and IPC sections
  • Get a copy of the FIR

If your bank doesn't resolve within 30 days, escalate to:
